Three

It is the eve of Miss. Ella's third birthday.  Yet again, I can't help but think that time is flying much too quickly.  Our little bug has grown so much this last year.  She looks like a little girl now and talks like she's about six.  She's always had a really good vocabulary and she is very easy to understand.  It makes life a lot nicer as she's able to express to us what she wants.  Three is turning out to be a bit of an emotional age.  She seems to always be on an emotional roller coaster.  I am told that this is really what three is..lots and lots of emotional outbursts.  She's the sweetest girl and has a lot of compassion for someone so small.  Her hair has almost doubled in length and still has beautiful curls and is a bit lighter in color.  Most days I would say her best friend is me (sorry Daddy) but she's pretty great with both of us.

I keep thinking about what a remarkable little girl she is.  She's smart, funny, kind, compassionate, silly, crazy, beautiful, and just way too loveable.  Not a day goes by that I don't think about how lucky I am to have her.  She's so special and she's beautiful inside and out.

Progress Report

Ella received her very first progress report from day care.  She is getting ready to go into the three year old room and the progress report measures where they're at.  Ella has mastered everything.  She's a very bright little girl and we were very pleased to see how well she's doing.  We are almost certain she'll be reading within a year.  I cannot believe our little bug is almost three.

Pinetop

I loved growing up on the mountain.  As a kid, you don't really appreciate the beauty of where you're living.  I was lucky to grow up in a small town.  I was lucky to know all of my neighbors and spend endless hours playing outside.  We picked strawberries, blackberries, green beans and anything else our moms would grow. We drank out of hoses, had yard sales, made forts, played dress ups, and had lemonade stands.  We also lived right next to what I think is one of the prettiest parks.
I loved living on the mountain and wish that I didn't like city life so much.  I just don't know if I could be content in a smaller town.  I miss home a lot and I am thankful I can take Ella to my park and my childhood home.  Ella seems to enjoy playing outside just as much as I did.  She had fun at the park and enjoyed planting pumpkins with Grandma Washie.  She picked tulips and blew bubbles with Papa Moosie.  I love the closeness that Ella has to my parents.  I love how excited she gets when she sees them.  My parents are wonderful grandparents and Ella has made so many wonderful memories with them.
