Sylvie

We have been wanting a dog for a VERY long time.  When we were in the apartment and I asked for a dog, Devin would tell me to wait until we moved into a house.  When we moved into a house, he told me to wait until the backyard was done.  When the backyard was done, he told me to wait until we got married.  When we got married, he told me to wait until we had the funds to do it. He has always said he wants a dog too. I honestly just felt like he kept stalling.  With the apartment I totally understood and with the backyard too....but I really really wanted a puppy.  Ella is GREAT with animals and she loves dogs.  I was just wanting her to have a little friend to play with.  Well, I finally got my wish.  We welcomed a very very as Devin calls her "little fluffy bundle of joy"  Sylvie is a wonderful addition to our family.  She was six weeks old when we got her, born July 7, 2012.  Ella loves Sylvie very much and enjoys playing with her immensely.  It has been a little bit hard adjusting because between the two of them, it is A LOT of work and A LOT of attention.  After work they both just really want to play with mom.  Ella does have a slight tendency to get jealous of Sylv but, we're working on that. I am just so happy to have another little Pierce in the family.  She is 1.5 pounds and I think about .5 of that is fur.

My little smarty pants...

Ella is two years and two months old as of next Sunday.  I am amazed at how smart our little bug is.  Her speech is getting better with each day.  Here are some of her amazing accomplishments at not even 2.5 :)

We are so proud of this little girl.  She is learning so much from day care and for that I am so grateful.

This little girl loves her Bapo and Teenter Bell, she loves to dance in the car, and sing songs. 

I am amazed at how she is constantly melting my heart.  

She is making it VERY hard to not want another baby right away......

Tinker Bell

Ella is absolutely positively obsessed with Tinker Bell or as she says Teenter Bell.  I love that she loves fairies and I love that she thinks Tinker Bell is so awesome.  What I love most of all though is, that she LOVES Disneyland.  She doesn't exactly know what Disneyland is..but she knows what the castle is.  Every time she sees the Disney castle she yells, "DISNEYLAND!!" It makes my heart happy that she's a Disney spirit.  She also LOVES Mickey, Minnie, Goofy (oofy), Donald, Daisy and, Pluto.  I am so excited to be going in October of 2013..I just wish it would come sooner..

Silly Face

I love my little bug, I love that she is my little shadow.  We had lots of fun this evening making silly faces and taking pictures.  After each one, she would laugh and say "silly mama"

Bedtime

Bedtime with Ella has become VERY challenging.  Before we moved into our house, Ella was in her crib and she was a wonderful sleeper.  She had always been a great sleeper, even as an infant.  

When we were getting ready to move, I debated a lot about if I should switch her out of her crib into a big girl bed.  I had a lot of people tell me that a clean switch to a new room and a new bed would be easy...... 

Well, it was not easy..not in the slightest.  Ella will wake up and come and sleep with us around one or two every morning.  She will also not fall asleep with out one of us.  We have tried putting her back in her room and instead of nap time telling her it's quiet time.  Nothing seems to work :( I am down to my very last nerve, I am super tired all of the time.  She makes it about 1,000x's more difficult because she insists on touching me or cuddling right up against me.  Don't get me wrong I love cuddles...but the pokes and whacks to the face are making it so I am getting very little sleep.  

We decided today to put her crib back together.  We probably should have done it awhile ago...The look on Ella's face when Devin was putting it together was priceless.  She was super excited. She seems happy to have her old bed back....we'll see how she does tonight...for her sake and mine, I hope this works for us.

Miss. Woolley...Mrs.Pierce

The wedding is one month from tomorrow and the wedding shower is this weekend... It is just so weird to me that I will no longer be a Woolley.  I have thought a few times about keeping my last name...I really like it and the closer I get to getting married, the more I like it.  I don't want to say I am getting cold feet but, I am really nervous.  This is a whole new chapter that is about to be written and as excited as I am, I feel myself kind of scared.  I have pretty bad stage fright...the thought of people watching is so scary to me.   I know that my dad won't let me fall walking down the isle so, that's reassuring...too bad he can't hold me up while we say our vows.  The closer we get to the wedding the more and more anxious I feel...I hope this is normal.  

One more month and I will be Mrs. Devin Pierce.../squeal

Two :)

Our sweet little bug turned Two on Tuesday =) We are just so proud of our little bug.  

We went for her well baby appointment today.  We found out that since she's two she gets to stand on the big scale as opposed to laying on the scale - she was so happy!  

She is 33.25 inches and 26.5 pounds :) 50% for height and 65% for weight. 

The doctor was very impressed by her.  He said that she is perfectly on track and her speech skills are amazing. She has hit everything right on or before target.  The only thing really that he has us watching is her weight.  The last couple months she seems to be losing weight.  We're going to go back at the end of July to do a weight check.  The doctor just doesn't want to see her keep dropping.  Nothing to worry about, just something to be aware of.  He says that it happens but that we just want to keep an eye on it.  

I think I could go on forever about this little girl.  Here are a some of the things she does/loves:

She is stringing multiple words together 

She is aware of when she has to go potty (working on potty training soon)

She can sing her ABC's up to about L and then can sing the rest with help

She has a wonderful little imagination

She has different voices for her various friends

She is getting to the point of dressing herself

She can jump

She has the best time playing with her kitchen

She typically always needs a book with her

She LOVES to talk on the phone

She can play the kazoo/harmonica ;)

She LOVES to dance

Our little bug seems to be growing far too quickly.  We just love this little girl so much.  Happy Birthday Ella Yun!
